QuickChek Named Best Value For Italian Subs in New Jersey
WHITEHOUSE STATION, NJ — QuickChek has been named the “Best Value” for Italian subs in New Jersey according to New Jersey Monthly magazine.
The Whitehouse Station-based fresh convenience chain also finished second overall among eight top chains in the Garden State, receiving high marks for Bread, Fillings, Toppings, Value, and Overall Score.
But diners already knew that: they’ve made QuickChek’s Classic Italian the company’s most popular sub.
The lifestyle magazine sent correspondent Chris Gennone in search of the top chains serving Italian subs, a New Jersey staple. He ranked the best ones among QuickChek, Blimpie, Firehouse Subs, Jersey Mike’s, Jimmy John’s, Primo Hoagies, Subway and Wawa. Each sandwich was scored based on the quality of bread, fillings (meats and cheese), toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc.) and price.
Rating the QuickChek Classic Italian
Having dined at company stores in the past, Gennone is no stranger to QuickChek sandwiches: early in the morning for a coffee and a breakfast sandwich, in the middle of the afternoon for a turkey sub, and late at night for snacks. He noted he’s had some very solid QuickChek sandwiches and the Classic Italian he sampled for this story did not disappoint.
