New Pumpkin Spice Coffee Perks Up Fall Flavored Menu

QuickChek has been named “Prepared Foods Innovator of the Year” in Convenience Store News’ seventh-annual Foodservice Innovators Awards program. It is the fresh convenience market chain’s third major foodservice award the past four years.
The award recognizes the Whitehouse Station, NJ-based family-owned company for its innovation and the freshness of its subs, breakfast sandwiches and fresh coffee program.
QuickChek was named overall “Foodservice Innovator of the Year” in 2016 and “Prepared Foods Innovator of the Year” in 2015.
“QuickChek stands out among Northeast c-store chains as clearly the best when it comes to fresh, prepared subs and sandwiches,” said one of CSN’s advisory board members who were tasked with selecting retailers on how they are “raising the bar on quality, service and innovation.”
“Being an innovator means not only creating exciting new menu items made with the finest and freshest quality ingredients, but continuing to do what we can to satisfy our customers,” said QuickChek CEO Dean Durling. “Today’s consumer, especially young professionals, families and health-conscious people, want fresh. So we have dedicated more than half of each of our stores to food service and fresh beverages, including our guaranteed fresh brewed hot and iced coffees.”

New menu items starting in September feature freshly prepared QuickChek Chicken Salad with Real Cranberry Relish and Crispy Chicken with Real Cranberry Relish subs, sandwiches and wraps.
Consumers craving their favorite fall flavors need go no further than QuickChek’s renowned fresh coffee wall, where they can enjoy hot and iced Pumpkin Spice coffee; Caramel Pumpkin cappuccino; Chocolate Chai hot chocolate; Pumpkin Spice tea; and Frozen Pumpkin latte.
Large stand-alone soup stations will offer a daily rotation of freshly-prepared, never frozen QuickChek soups, which have become a meal replacement as consumers’ dining habits continue to change. Fresh fall soups made with 100% real ingredients include Thanksgiving Everyday; Turkey Sausage & Kale; Baked Potato; and Pumpkin Bisque with maple roasted sweet potatoes.
Fresh in-store baked goods include Apple Caramel Crisp cookies; Pumpkin Cheesecake muffins; Pumpkin mini loaves; and Reese’s Pieces brownies.
QuickChek will receive its latest foodservice award at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) industry trade show October 1-4, 2019 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
