WHITEHOUSE STATION, NJ — QuickChek Corporation, a market leader in food services dedicated to serving its communities, is raising funds to help provide immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to combat wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families through an in-store donation program.
Customers are invited to purchase paper boots for $1 at any of the company’s 158 fresh convenience market store locations in the metropolitan area beginning Saturday, June 15 through July 20, 2019 to benefit the Semper Fi Fund, a non-profit organization whose mission is to deliver to Service members the resources needed during recovery and transition back to their communities, working to ensure no one is left behind.
The Semper Fi Fund is run by military spouses and former military members who have been in the trenches and know the needs of its families in “serving those who preserve our freedom.”
QuickChek has raised more than one-half million dollars during the past five years with all of the funds raised staying in local areas to help support local veterans.
“We are very pleased to honor and continue our support of our Service members and their families who give so much of themselves,” said QuickChek CEO Dean Durling, whose family-owned-company has raised millions of dollars to support a variety of causes benefiting children, families, and military veterans.
Since 2014, the Whitehouse Station, NJ-based chain has raised more than $519,000 for local veterans and their families through this in-store promotion, an annual golf outing, and the Long Island Run for the Warriors.
“We are also very proud of the continued support we receive from our customers who have welcomed us into their neighborhoods,” added Durling. “They recognize our total dedication to our customers and together we share a joint desire to aid members of our communities in need.”
Each paper boot that is purchased will be signed and posted on the walls of each of the company’s stores throughout New Jersey, New York’s Hudson Valley and Long Island in support of Service members and their families.
The in-store promotion aligns with QuickChek’s “Summer Sub Days” campaign in which consumers can enjoy summer savings as select 6-inch sub sandwiches are just $3 and select 12-inch premium baguettes are just $6, creating additional opportunities to help financially support local veterans and families in need.
QuickChek’s ongoing commitment to its communities was among the reasons it was named the 2016 National Convenience Store Chain of the Year.
Based in Camp Pendleton, CA, the Semper Fi Fund has provided $200 million in assistance to 23,000 heroes, assisting the family unit from injury through full recovery; integrating Service members back into their communities; and providing health therapies to improve mind, body and spirit.
