Contribution reinforces commitment to youth and community

Whitehouse Station, NJ – July 2, 2025 – QuickCheka New Jersey-grown convenience chain, delivered a $10,000 donation and lunch to the Boys and Girls Club of Newark. The donation underscores QuickChek’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and addressing food insecurity.

Team members from area QuickChek’s united to prepare Subwiches, ensuring a fresh and delicious meal for the Club members. A check presentation ceremony for the $10,000 donation followed.

“We believe in investing in the communities we serve,” said Blake Segal, head of QuickChek. “Providing financial support and fresh food are two tangible ways we continue to show up and make a positive impact in the lives of these kids and teenagers.”

The donation follows closely on the heels of QuickChek’s field day with the Boys & Girls Club of Newark in May. The event featured a special appearance by professional football player and QuickChek brand ambassador, Kayvon Thibodeaux.

“The support, both financial and nutritional, will make a real difference in helping us to continue providing a safe and uplifting environment where our youth can learn, grow, and thrive,” said Ameer Washington, the Club’s CEO. “We are so grateful for QuickChek’s ongoing partnership and commitment to our Club.”

The Boys & Girls Club of Newark provides vital programs and services that promote the healthy development of children and teens in the community. This donation from QuickChek will enable the Club to continue its vital work.
